River levels have now started to fall following yesterday's heavy and persistent rainfall. Although wintery showers associated with Storm Darcy are expected throughout today until midnight tonight, 07/02/2021, river levels are not expected to rise significantly. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please remain vigilant as catchments remain very wet. Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded. River levels remain high but are beginning to fall as a result of persistent, heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible between this evening and tomorrow, 07/02/2021. Areas most at risk are properties along Brooklyn Road. Further rainfall is forecast this evening. We expect river levels to remain high until tomorrow. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the situation. River levels have risen as a result of the recent persistent rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property and roads is expected. Areas most at risk are properties along Brooklyn Road. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until throughout the rest of today (06/02/2021) and into tomorrow. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast and checking defences. Please move possession and valuables off the ground or to safety and avoid contact with flood water. River levels have risen as a result of persistent heavy rainfall overnight due to Storm Ciara. A further heavy band of rain is causing the river to continue to rise so property flooding is possible this morning, 09/02/20. Properties along Brooklyn Road are most at risk.
We expect river levels to continue to rise until the early afternoon today, when the rain is forecast to ease.
